From reading your post, it seems to me that the easiest way to accomplish what you want would be to replace the control valve you now have with a dual control valve. This way you will be able to direct all of the pressure to whichever cylinder you are wanting to operate by simply choosing the appropriate lever. Much easier and quicker.
