First, Are you positive the battery connections are correct? Pos to Pos (red), neg to neg (black)assuming you have a neg ground system.. Have you verified the battery is receiving a charge from the alternator? If yes is answered to these questions, then you may want to charge up the battery while disconnected from the tractor(and insulated from any conductive surface) and recheck the battery state of charge 24 hrs. later. If the battery checks out you've isolated the problem to the tractor wiring. Install the battery with an ammeter in line to determine the battery drain. Now you get to visually check each wire for bare places, broken, faulty switches, etc. if the ammeter shows any reading. A good system to use is to follow the path of the electricity starting at the pos battery post until you reach ground. Good Luck! I detest these type problems with my equipment.
