Extended Life Anti-freeze

Anyone have good or bad experiences with the new extended life anti-freeze? I have heard some bad; very little good. I have filled everything I have with the Texaco-Shell ELC and have excellent results. I first used it in a 87 Buick around 7 years ago. Without the silicone, the water pumps are supposed to last longer. This seems to be true. What are your experiences.
