Even with a flapper cap on the exhaust, water sometimes gets in and travels down through an open exhaust valve. And it doesn't take long for the rings to stick to the cylinder wall once they get wet. I managed to stick a Farmall engine in about two weeks after wind blew off the exhaust cover in the rain. You need to pull the spark plugs (or injectors). Examining the tip will tell you a lot... moisture or rust means that cylinder is almost certainly stuck. Blow out the water with an air hose and get some penetrating oil in there ASAP. I got the Farmall loose by kicking the hand crank, not an option on your Ford. Does yours have the torque converter? No way to tow or rock it, then. Good luck!
