TIME TO MOW ALFALFA IN VIRGINIA

I mowed 4 acres of Alfalfa/Orchard grass mix
yesterday. The Alfalfa was 3 feet tall, and some
of the Orchard grass seed heads were 5 feet tall.
The Alfalfa was getting ready to bloom. I am in
Southwest VA at about 2500 feet above sea level.
How is the Alfalfa coming on in other parts of the
country. This year is the first in 4 years we've had normal rainfall, and the earlist that Ive
mowed in many a year.
