I agree it is a small pain, but I'm fresh from doing it and it really wasn't that much trouble. Since my ISP has NO filters, I think it was well worth it. Spam has gone from 40 a day to none. After working with my ISP to change my email address (one phone call, 2 minutes, $5), I sent one email following these steps: 1) Draft and email explaining what you are doing, including a plea for folks to please not foward your address or submit your name to any website. 2)put your address in the To field. Paste your entire address book into the Blind Carbon Copy (BCC) field (NOT the To or CC). 3) Delete those addresses that you don't care about receiving your new email address--many of these you'll switch to your "public" correspondance. 4) send it. 5) go back to any sites that have your old address (ebay, utilities, etc) and change your online address to your public one. good luck. also remember that when mailing a large group of people that don't know or need to know each other, it is good practice to use the BCC field as it keeps those receiving the email from also receiving a big block of email addresses.

You can never have wide enough tires or heavy enough weights to get all the traction you want … unless you own a monster tractor. U
