Okay, I had a similar problem on a 350 that had been sitting around for awhile--I learned the hard way. When you rebuilt the carb, did you take it COMPLETELY apart and clean everything??? I missed a screw in tube(don't know the correct name) in the carb, which I could blow air through, but there were holes on the sides of a tube that were still plugged up. It had been a long time since I worked on one and haven't done many tractor carbs, so please don't laugh, but that's what I did. If I would take the hose loose from the air intake of the carb and squirt carb cleaner in there it would fire and run for a bit, after I found my f-up everything was great. Hope this might help.
