I knew a guy that did that one time I guess it was all right, that old chevy ran a long time with nothing but regular maintance smoked when he got it stopped smoking after and did not burn but about one quart every five thousand miles. I remember a product called Rislone that was sold to do the very thing you mentioned it seemd kinda like transmission fluid if I remember right.
