to remove the sleeves: first remove the pistons and the connecting rods. After this is done, aquire a suitable puller and pull the sleeves from the block. when replacing the sleeves, make sure there is no dirt or foriegn objects in the sealing area. Also make sure the sleeve does not extend any further than between .002-.004 above the block. If the sleeve extends any further than .004 water will leak through the head gasket. Use vasaline to lubricate the two seals to ensure the sleave will fit properly. BEEN THERE DONE THAT! hope this helps and you get your dads tractor together before he gets back.
