les you were only about 20 miles from the fairgrounds when you were in ellenville yes thats my work tractor i'm getting too old to steer the thing with a bucket full you know how ellenville got its name -- the d&h canal ran from pa to the hudson and the canawallers ( boat operators) needed some physical pleasures along the way and there was a young lady that lived in a shack along side tha canal and her name was ellen word got around and she started a business with a few other girls and booze so everyone said gonna stop at ellens thus ellens villa thus ellenville a little history never hurt anyone even if its something some people would like to forget
