I don't think anyone here meant to slight UK built machinery. We have alot of road and bridge construction going on in many parts of the US, and the makes of heavy machinery I have seen is varied to say the least. I have seen Mitsubishi, Daewoo, Komatsu, Hyundai, etc.... plastered on the sides of all sorts of heavy equipment. This is in addition to the dozen or so 'familiar' named brands. JCB is not as well known here as it is in other parts of the world.
