If it's just pitted a little and not rusted through and no sharp edges, just throw a tube in it and it should be fine. If it's the larger size valve stem hole (tubeless) they have little plastic inserts to convert the hole size to a small valve stem size, problem fixed even better. You may be able to cover any sharp edges with a piece of patch or a boot to prevent the tube from being punctured.
