I can understand this to a degree. Things like links placed by outside sources just for adbvertising purposes is wrong. However, to block someone from placing a link to try to help someone else out, especially when it's for a piece of equipment that YT dosesn't offer a manual for, I think that is just plain sorry.
Personally I'd rather have a business tell me they don't have something and point me to another source, even if it's their biggest competetor, than to simply shrug their shoulders and say "we don't have it, good luck finding it". A company like that will do that will get more repeat business from me because I know their in business to help the customer and not just for the money. That's the problem with too many businesses nowdays...worried about nothing but the bottom line.
Anyway, the above is a general statement, and if the shoe fits wear it, but I don't think the link was causing the problem, because I tried posting without the link and just giving the web address and it didn't go through like that either. Unfortunately the person who posted blocked their e-mail so I couldn't even send them the info that way....Oh well, their loss.....
