thanks les, and all those who replied positively, ya basicly reasured me of what i had figured, that it was not ideal but still not complete junk, this is my first year haying, my father used to hay years ago with friends but not since i was about 2 or 3 years old, i could have asked him, but wanted your opinions here too. and like i said i should have done it the week of fourth of july, but had the usual picnics planned, and also i wanted to wait as long as i could on this field cause it is very wet on the road leading into it from all this rain we had, and that week i also had to help install a pool, so i would have been pretty strung out on time, should have done it but didnt,lost the gamble i suppose ya could say, but i aint making a living off this so i can chock it up to a learning experience
