Sorry to disappoint you, but over here the N.I.A.E. {National Institute of Agricultural Engineering } was experimenting with remote control tractors in the 1960's. I have a video about tractor development, during which there is a sequence showing a driverless Fordson Major plowing and the guy is stood on the headland with his remote control box working it. Suffice to say the idea did not catch on.
