JD 2020: Fuel in the crankcase

The crankcase on my tractor is full of diesel. Someone suggested that the fuel pump was bad so I replaced it and then drained and re-filled the oil. Ran the tractor for a short period, but stopped when fuel started coming out the crankcase vent. Anyone have any idea where to start
