Presumably you are talking diesel here, not gas. You can and you don't need to. BUT, as it's all the same stuff (with a dye in the 'off road' so the tax men know if you use it in a road vehicle) you might as well use the cheaper. If you buy from the filling station, you can support your government by paying even more in taxes than you need to, if you feel that benevolent.
