we get 4 or sometimes 5. if I was going to get 5 I should be starting the 4th cutting not. 5th would be cut after frost adn usually wrapped as haylage since it is hard to get it dry that late in the year. problem is I already have too much wrapped. I started first cutting on may 9th and have been at it ever sicne. making about 250 acres of hay is a full time job. we have 57 acres on the ground now and still have 35 to go on third cutting. a lot of the early cut is ready to cut the 4th time now.
