What size round bale can I haul?

I have a 2N and a Ford 1710 (4WD). Can I get a 3-pt hitch bale spike for the 1710, and if so, can I haul a large (I think 6 ft diameter) round bale with it? If that won't work, how about a front mount spike? One of our neigbors bales our 40 acres, and when I only had the 2N I had to have him bring over bales to feed our horses in the winter. I'd like to just store some bales on our place and take them to the horses myself instead of "buying back" hay that was already here.
