your hydraulic fluid level is checked by removing the plug/vent to the right of the gear shift lever. The level should be 6 inches below the top of the plug opening. Use HY TRAN or equivalant fluid. This same fluid is used by all hydraulics on the tractor. Both pumps use it. If the fluid looks milky it has water in it and all must be changed. All 20 GAL of it :(
Your tractor is an industrial 444 and all parts for a 444 should fit except for the front axle and foot throttle parts. The serial numbers for the 444 will tell you the manufacturing date when you look them up on this site or others. I strongly recommend getting manuals for it if you plan on doing your own work. A tractor spec site you could check out is tractortips.com, look under International 444.
If your tractor SN begins with a U it is USA built and will have Delco electricals, if it begins with a B it is british built and will have Lucas electricals. How does it go ? Any questions ?
