About had a similar thing happen to me. Dad always liked to leave a tractor in gear instead of setting the brakes to keep it from rolling. One time I didn't know Dad had been on the tractor and I reached up and hit the starter button on the Farmall 560. It didn't start... thank God... since I was standing in front of the rear tire! But.... I learned to check the shifter EVERY TIME!!!!
