If you get a tractor and work on it you will learn a lot about machinery and mechanical repairs. In particular you will learn how to go about them. Having this sort of skill will allow you to work on cars and many other things in the future and will save you and those you help out a fortune over the years. Only snag is that you will never have any spare time and you'll never be free of people asking you to fix something for them. (best policy on that is to help some of them that you think deserve it, for free, and have a strictly cash on the barrelhead policy for the rest, if only to compensate you for the loss of your free time.)
