8" of snow in Heber City Utah over the weekend. More falling today. Hopefully the end of a 5 year drought, but we've been suckered into thinking that before....2001/02 comes to mind. It snowed most of Nov and Dec '01 just in time to have snow for the '02 Olympics and then it completely shut off for the rest of the winter. We ended up with less than average moisture for the 3rd year in a row. Now here it is 2 years later. Last winter was a complete non-event. I didn't fire up the tractor even once to move snow and that's really weird at 5400' elevation in the Rocky Mtns. So, while I'm glad to see this snow, I'm still holding my breath....
