I don't see how you could easily modify one to pick up leaves but you sure could turn the pipe connection so it would blow down or sidways to blow leaves off a road! On a three point mount you could really make short work of a long driveway or parking lot. Might be hard on glass and bystanders. Be carefull! I use an old silo filler to chop leaves and yard/ garden stalks. Blow them on the garden as mulch. Works well and is fun to crank the old rig up and run!
