Peruse the camping forums and read the posts under "tow vehicles", and read the Ford diesel forums. The 6L Ford engine is having many problems. Some guys have forced Ford to buy them back under state lemon laws. This seems to be another case of "messing with a good thing". The 7.3 diesel has proven itself over time to be a reliable, durable engine. Of the big three: Ford, Dodge, and GM, Dodge is the only one using a medium duty diesel engine the others are rated light duty diesels.
