Sure would like a new ford myself but I'm afraid of the 6.0. Had an 83 with the 6.9 ran it 260,000 with only one starter and two injector pumps. Got a 96 now with a 7.3 and 80,000. Only changed the waterpump so far. We bought both of these trucks new and done all the maintenance ourselves, (nothing major though). Had a Ford salesman tell me the other day that you have to completely remove the radiator on a 6.0 to change the serpentine belt now. If I was rich I would have someone build me a new ford bodystyle with a DT 466 Binder in it for a powerplant. Anyone else heard the rumor that freightliner is getting into the pickup market?
