Our 2590 has been bullet proof for us. Has 5800 hours on it with no problems. Previous owner had all the updates put in the tranny/rearend at 4500 hours. When we bought it the dyno showed 218 horsepower at 1000 RPM on the PTO. We pull 26 anhydrous spikes, 28 foot disk, 26 foot chisel plow (12" sweeps), 28 foot vibra-shank (8" sweeps), etc. Never breaks a sweat on those loads in heavy soil. Around here they are CHEAP horsepower, many of them going for around $8000 to $15000 with anywhere from 3500 to 6500 hours on them. Don't really know of any real problem areas, cab is quieter than our 1086, power shift is jumpy at high RPM. The 504 turbo diesel is very reliable and long-lived from what I've heard...
