I have purchased about a dozen tractors in the last three months. I personally looked at only two before I bought them. The others I bought were from ads on this site, and 9 out of 10 were exactly what I expected for the price I paid. None were from dealers. I did talk on the phone and ask lots of questions, and got addditional pictures. In general I would say you have a 90% chance of getting what you paid for, as the folks I dealt with were more honest than not. However, if your talking "big money" tractors you may want to take an up close and personal look before you spend all your hard earned money.
