I have a question that maybe someone can help with. My H will start and run for about 20 seconds then shut off. I have fuel to the carb; is it pumped to the cylinders? A bad condensor in the distributor will cause that. will it run with gas with the gas cap off?Can you immediately start it up or do you have to let it sit awhile? 1st. thing I would check would be to stand on the carb. side and when it goes dead immediately open the drain on the carb to see if the gas ran out,( if not check fuel line and tank for trash) if o.k. then you would probably need to remove hood and check the intake manifold & gasket for leaks. This is called an updraft carb and the gas is pulled up by suction there is no pumping action.
