Structurally, it's a dang fine idea. Good solid wall, looks nice, and gives ya LOTS of places to hang stuff.

Expense-wise, it ain't gonna be cheap. I just put 40" wainscotting out of vee-match T&G in a bedroom. I haven't gotten the bill for materials yet, and I ain't looking forward to it.
