While working at The Muskegon Piston Ring Company back in 1964 A woman was loading cast iron piston rings on the turret which milled the oil grooves in the rings using a stack of cutting wheels to cut multiple ring grooves in stacked oil rings. She was talking to an operator beside her when the machine indexed and proceded to cut the oil grooves in her fingers. She had to wait for the end of the cycle to get what was left of her fingers out.
