I would have to agree with you!!! I had a '92 F350 crew cab 4x4 w/460 CID v-8... towed WHATEVER and WHENEVER I wanted... tons of power (and of course, a bit hard on the fuel) Came time for a newer rig so I went to the dealerships & did some test driving. Drove an F350 supercab w v-10... I kept wondering where the engine was... just wasn't ANY power ...at least compared to the 460 iron! Since I couldn't get a newer rig with a REAL gas engine, ended up with an F550 w/ POWERSTROKE (7.3L) and LOVE it. We live in the land of hard winters & I've never had a problem with starting... the noise isn't excessive (besides, I can always turn up the CD player) & I happen to LIKE the smell of diesel fuel!!! We did look at Dodge & would have considered, but WANTED a crew cab & at that time, Dodge didn't offer one in a full size truck.
