FORD 3600 Remote Hydraulics

Our tractor didn't come equipped with remotes. There is plenty of places to buy new remote kits but I don't want to pay $600.00. Used remote kits are scrace. Very common to read on message boards people needing remote hyds. It is amazing that most small tractors before 1980's didn't come equipped with remotes. I have read that remotes on this tractor are slow and weak. We previously had a Super-M Farmall and its remotes were very strong. I have seen it raise 16'X 50'land Plane Land. Would it be possible to tap into existing hyd piping to feed a universal hyd control unit? (Probably more trouble than the savings) I would like to pull 8'- 10' Killifer.
