i did replace the piston sealing parts (swelled the leather and let it dry, presoaked and reinstalled much tighter than the "free sliding" old ones). when i have pressure - up it goes. i did not replace replace the o-ring on the unload valve. truthfully, i didn't remove the control valve or the unload valve from the piston unit. i did have a few left over o-rings from the kit i bought, but all seem too large for these parts and are probably for another application (much larger nylon and rubber o-rings in kit - probably for a ford 4000). the questions i still have are the same ones as before, but now two more: 1. can the unload valve create a no pressure reading at the pump 2. is the pump still an issue
