The 550 has the same steering system as used on Fords 8N thru 900. Kits offered on the link below by jackson power steering can be picked up and modified for the 550. I have accumulated most of the parts to add to my Super 55 this summer. The main and most expensive part is the Char Lynn hydraulic control. My system will use the front axel to the tie rods instead of radius rods to the tie rod. Check the site pics and film clip. I have helped a friend install on an 8N with the biggest pipe loader I've seen and it still turns with one hand. Good luck
