What has really happen to the old snow belt. We used to get that kind of snowfall in Southern Minnesota all the time. Not that I'm anxious to get out and plow some snow with the old JD, but I've only plow 3 thing again this year. Only plowed once last year. But my bigger concern is, we need the moisture. I'm an old farm boy, and I know the farmers need the moisture. But now I live on a lake, and it's about 3-4 foot lower than normal. Granted we live on a somewhat shallower part of the lake, but I'm getting tired of buying more dock sections for the last few years. Normally it about 5-5 1/2 ft. deep at the end of a 64 ft. dock. I was out 112 ft. last fall and only had 2 ft. of water at the end. But if we don't a lot of rain or snow, I'll have to add more this year. I know this isn't really tractor talk, but when the lake was at normal level, I put my boat in right in the back yard with 1 of my 3 John Deere's. Can't do it now.
Thanks for listening. I needed to vent a little and put my 2 cents worth in.
