I agree with Bob. If the money's good, the deal's good. That can be a big IF, however. Just be adamant that no shipping takes place until AFTER the funds are received and verified. Work with your banker on that part. An overseas check may take a long time to clear. Just because you deposit it in your account and your bank shows an increase in your balance, doesn't mean you're out of the woods. Talk to someone in authority at your bank (not just the teller...high school graduate making slightly more than drive-up clerk and Micky-D's), someone like the branch manager, president, etc. Tell them you want to be SURE the funds are good and that you are relying on them to let you know when that can be determined. As said by others, kill the deal RIGHT NOW if they mention anything about you sending money to them. There's no reason for it in a legitimate deal.
