It's absolutely amazing the staying power of some urban myths. There is only so many btu's of energy in a gallon of gasoline. A wonder carb, a magnetizer etc doesn’t add any energy. Fuel injection and computer controlled engines/vehicles have saved the nation from a fuel crisis. Remember the old 350 & 400 Chev gas hog 4x4's with 5-7 mpg and 145-160 HP. Now my truck has 300HP luxury everything ,4 doors, 4x4, quiet handles well and gets 12.5 mpg with a 366 cu". Fuel injection, radial tires, aerodynamics, low up torque converters computer controlled everything has made the difference.
