I'll have to agree with Robert. Deutz was the first thing that popped into my mind when I read the question. I've got a 130 06 here thats easy on fuel, and I passed up a 60 or 68 06 (can't recall for sure) this spring that was near perfect for $3200. Sure wish I'd have bought it, but my 706 was in need of an overhaul too..had to make a choice, probably chose wrong, but thats life!
On the bright side, I have a freshly o/h'd 706 gas now....
