Hate to burst your bubble but Ford does not put Chevy (ALLISON) trannies in their f550 and smaller SD's. They all use the same 4R100 from the 2wd F250 up to the 4wdF550. You can get the allison in the F650 and larger. Besides, the 4R100 tranny is stronger the the allison wanna be Chevy is using behind the Durajunk. Just ask someone that has one several years old from when they first put them behind the 7 litre gas motor. Bet he will be on his 3rd one. I do agree though, the F550 is the way to go. HUGE brakes, HUGE rear axle, 18,000GVW, 30,000+ GCVW. Want get that from the Dodge boys or from the General.
