I had a can of similar stuff given to me, and I put it in my '89 Dodge "Power Ram 50" (who says marketing people don't have a sense of humor!) with 100K+. It DID cut down on the smoke and oil usage, and also made it a bit easier to start in cold weather. I have heard some bad things about the "Slick 50"-type teflon-based formulas; basically they are prone to gumming up your oil passages and may make things worse. However, based on my limited and admittedly unscientific experience, I would say that if your engine is tired already, spending $10.00 for a can of stuff isn't going to hurt anything, and it's not so much money that you're going to have to take out a second mortgage. If it helps, even marginally, it's money well spent.
