At one time any new farm tractor sold in Nebraska had to tested at the Nebraska lab. Then only those above 25HP. Then 40HP. Now I see they are planning to raise that to 60HP. As far as Kubota is concerned, a corporate decision was made many years ago to discontinue the Nebraska testing. Nebraska farmers were not buying Kubotas in any appreciable numbers and it was costing Kubota more than it was worth. I don't think Kubota tried to trick anyone by using engine net HP. Their brochures and ads make it clear what the PTO HP is.
