The idea about lowering the plow is a good idea. Take it a step further though and put the left wheel(s) on 8 or 10 inch blocks and lower the plow just so there all the lift componets are snug. The shears should be flat on floor and the beams parrell with the floor. Also if the shears are worn it could be the cause.
