i use several solars. but i make up my own solar chargers. i use the gallagers(sp) big bucks, but all the good 12 volt fencers are expensive. i purchase solar panels surplus from harbor freight, Surplus center, or Electronic Goldmine. and build mounts for them. purchase deep cycle batteries from walmart along with plastic battery boxes from whoever has the least expensive. the chargers put out around 4 to 7 thousand volts with around 4 joules, so they are a little under what a electric box of equal cost puts out. it will cost around $12 per month just to have a remote electric feed(meter). so, in my area, it pays a little to have the solar.
