Lance if you advance the governor rod by hand do you feel it work against you when the rpm comes up? ? If not you have a problem in the Gov. a spring broke or a problem with the internal linkage . pull the plate off the governor box and have a look ---no big deal --if you wreck the gasket just make a new one. Its not a complicated governor to work on. Let us know what fell out of place ? John
