Unfortunately, using inflation numbers to have any real meaning you need to factor in cost-of-living rates, income levels, taxes, political system, standards of living and personal expections. $10,000 won't last you 6 months in New York City but the same amount will comfortably last you 2 years in Honduras. Numbers can be made to mean anything you want them to, but it's only one small piece of the big picture. A little knowledge can be a dangerous thing - A lot of knowledge can be a wonderful thing - The use of knowledge can be powerful thing. Have fun.
