Shane, It's been awhile, so my imputs may not be totally correct. Find out how much is called for in the compressor and check the compressor. There should be plug on the side of the pump to put a dip stick in it to check. Then add the oil. Remember, a system that has too much oil in isn't going to operate and cool efficiently. Just as one that doesn't have enough oil in it will not last very long. It would be advisable to change out the reciever drier at the same time of the compressor change. It doesn't cost a whole lot in comparison, and if the old compressor locked up it is most likely saturated and dirty. Jim
