I believe OPEC cut production in order to demonstrate some power that they have over the "occupying country". They want to intimidate us in the ways they know- terrorism and fuel supply. This is what I meant when comparing our "small sacrifice" to those of our soldiers.
I certainly don't wish to belittle anyone who has a hard time paying the bills. Many people complaining about gas prices though, are still driving new vehicles, have new house... all I'm saying is live within your means, and appreciate what we have in this country.
