I am a senior project manager with a general and mechanical contractor. Most reputable contractors will sell and install any brand of equipment you want. The manufacturers will wholesale to any of them. My personal preference is Lennox or Armstrong for residential and Trane for commercial or indutrial installations. Carrier makes excellent equipment but the knowledge and support provided by their distributors is a joke. Can't say any of the major players makes poor equipment. Which ever contractor you feel comfortable with will work.
