At the risk if being redundant, why use email at all for responding to ads? We all seem to have telephones, and I've never yet gotten as much information as I would like by exchanging emails (at least, without exchanging a bunch of them, over several days time). I'd much rather talk to someone, and that also effectively foils the scammers. Just because we have all this technology, it doesn't necessarily follow that we must always use it, if low tech makes more sense in a given situation.
